Our Bed and Breakfast is located in the heart of Pennsylvania’s wine country. Come and experience the calm and quiet peacefulness of this estate.
The Stone Lake was originally used as a water retention lake supplying water to cool the blades of the sawmill on our property. By the mid 1800’s the sawmill closed and the property became a country farmhouse with its own dairy farm. In the 1940’s the dairy farm discontinued its operation and the land was sold as a residential estate with over 200 acres of green farmland. In September 1945 the property was placed into the “Clean and Green” Preservation Society to ensure its safe future.
Explore the tranquility of our preserve while staying at our restored 19th century church or in private lodging at one of our newly-built cottages. Split Creek Preserve is surrounded by 50 acres of secluded woods, a protected trout stream, walking trails, meditation spots, and a lake with canoes and kayaks for use free of charge during your stay. Available for groups of eight to ten, the church features private rooms and work spaces, a communal kitchen, living and game rooms, and sun-decks. It’s the perfect spot for small weddings and reunions, intimate celebrations, friend and family getaways, themed weekend workshops and more.
